Syed Ahmed, M.D.
Dr. Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Science from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, attaining both a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Doctor of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Chicago. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr Ahmed enjoys the opportunity to share information with patients and providers alike, giving presentations* in the North Shore community on different aspects on cancer care. He supports research endeavors to advance cancer treatment and has presented at national meetings, and written articles and a book chapter on advances in cancer therapy. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Ahmed is married and has three children. When not playing or reading with his children, he enjoys music, a good book and the occasional sporting event.
